STMicroelectronics ST25TV512 Type 5 NFC tag IC tag chip integrates the convenience and tamper detection of the ISO 15693 proximity card standard with robust cloning protection, data protection and user privacy.
The advantages of ISO 15693 tags over ISO 14443 tags include smaller antennas, longer communication distances and more reliable data exchange. As the only ISO 15693 IC with tamper detection, the ST25TV512 makes tags used for tamper-resistant packaging, electronic article monitoring and other functions more secure, smaller, simpler to install and easier to read, and capable of interacting with smartphones or RFID readers. The chip is equally suitable for consumer electronics or professional products.
STMicroelectronics new NFC-Forum authentication chip works with NFC-enabled smartphones to provide cloud-based management of brand protection, product authentication and fidelity anti-counterfeiting for high-value product markets such as luxury goods and pharmaceuticals. In addition to tamper detection, other features protect contactless use cases in retail, smart industry, logistics and digital lifestyles, including smart posters, 자산 추적, 액세스 제어, authentication and physical Web applications such as gaming.
Each ST25TV512 IC has an individual 64-bit device identifier and is digitally signed using STMicroelectronics TruST25TM method to prove origin and prevent pirate cloning.
